EDUCATION WORKSHOP

30.07.2021, 10:30—12:00

Education Workshop
The Embassy of the North Sea
THEUN KARELSE

How does an eel feel in a canal? How does the sea sound for a shrimp? Figure it out and submerge into the life of sea animals. During this workshop the children will empathize with the ins and outs of being, moving and feeling like a sea creature. Together with Theun Karelse of The Embassy of the North Sea and Andrea Koll of A Tale of A Tub the participants of the creative workshop will examine what it means to live under the sea surface.

Artist Then Karelse will represent The Embassy of the North Sea during this workshop. His interests and experiments explore the areas between art, ecology, technology and archeology. Theun considers field research to be a crucial way of connecting with the complexity of our fast-changing world.

Andrea Koll works as Education Curator at A Tale of A Tub. She has experience in developing art educational workshops within the educational field as well as the cultural field.
